Ask MidnightHunnyRun

DEAR MIDNIGHTHUNNYRUN:

If you could choose between monsters or aliens, which would you rather be? -- ANIMAL BABY, BEMIDJI, MN

DEAR ANIMAL BABY: I think it would be fun to be either an alien or a monster. Aliens get to fly through space, explore planets, make crop circles, and probe humans--but monsters get to scare little kids, and I think that would be a bit more fun. Nothing could be more delightful than jumping out of some kid's closet in the middle of night and scaring him, then hiding and watching as the crying child tries to explain to his disbelieving parents that there really was a monster there. Then of course jumping out again as soon as his parents go back to bed.

DEAR MIDNIGHTHUNNYRUN:

My friend says Lebron James is teh [sic] greatest basketball player to ever lace up sneaks, but I says [sic] Kobe Bryant has more champonship rings and is better than he will ever be. I bet my friend a [sic] authentic Lebron jersey if Im [sic] right, and he bet me the new Kobe Vs. Please settle this argument for us and let my friend know whats [sic] up. -- LAKERS4LIFE

DEAR LAKERS4LIFE: Questions such as this one are constantly being batted about, but there really is no clearcut answer. The argument is pointless, as both players merit recognition for their performance on the court. Whether or not one player is greater than the other can be measured once both players have hung up their sneakers. Oh, and seeing as neither of you has a winning argument, I'd be more than willing to claim the jersey and shoes.

DEAR MIDNIGHTHUNNYRUN:

How do I get my son to stop holding his head whenever I order food at the drive-thru? --CONFUSED MOM, LOS ANGELES, CA

DEAR CONFUSED MOM: Without knowing the specifics of why your son might be doing this, I can only speculate that it perhaps has to do with your ordering process. Could it be possible that when you order you speak too quickly or do not allow the order taker ample enough time to place the order? Although most fast food restaurants try to cut down on the amount of time it takes to fill each order, it can be difficult for them to punch it in when it is given to them too quickly or when it is given with too many adjustments. Waiting for the order taker to offer a verbal acknowledgement between items also ensures the accuracy of the order.

DEAR MIDNIGHTHUNNYRUN:

Every time I rotate my ankle, it hurts and makes clicking noises. I'm currently without health insurance and I don't want to go to the doctor. What should I do? -- ANKLE PAIN, LOS ANGELES, CA

DEAR ANKLE PAIN: The question you should be asking is not what you should do but what you should not do, and that is simple: don't rotate your ankle.

A lot of people ask me for advice, so I've decided to start an advice column here on the blog.

DEAR MIDNIGHTHUNNYRUN:

My husband is cheating on me and I don't know what to do. I still love him. What should I do? -- MY HUSBAND IS CHEATING ON ME AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, MUSKOGEE,OK

DEAR MY HUSBAND IS CHEATING ON ME AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO: The answer couldn't be more obvious--make more sandwiches. Your relationship is clearly suffering from a lack of sandwiches. It doesn't matter what kind; any type should suffice. Italian cold cut sandwiches might be best, though. Make more sandwiches, and you should find yourself hunger-free and fully satisfied.
