Yokai of the Week - Karakasa

Karakasa are a type of tsukumogami. Tsukumogami are objects that, when they reach their 100th year, become sentient. Umbrellas become karakasa when they reach their 100th year. That doesn't explain why they only have the one eye. (Maybe because they only have one foot?)
